The Bibliography of Art History covers materials concerning art published between 1975 and 2007. There is a basic and advanced search when using this website. This is a free resource created by the Getty Foundation and Getty Publications. I searched for works about Jackson Pollock and there were 561 results for this search. The resource types from my search included articles, journals, books, reviews and dissertations. The user can easily limit their search by selecting the particular resource type that they are looking for. I appreciate that the user can refine the search by adjusting the dates that works are from. This is a helpful resource for art teachers, and students studying art history. Students can also use this resource when they are learning about a particular time period or country to get a better understanding of both. Students can research the events of history and how that impacted art at the time. Students can also view changes in art movements and trends over time. Teachers could have students replicate past works or learn about their favorite artists as people with this resource. Students may even learn a little about themselves along the way.
